Poultry industry has become important segment as well as fastest growing segment, fulfill human food requirement. The numerous scientific researches and skilled human resources are backbone of poultry industry. An establishment of Livestock Scientific Development Association (LSDA) is one step forward in this objective. The LSDA has an advanced experimental house facility having Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, pellet feed mill and promote training programme for various role such as farm managers, feed mill supervisors, etc. The HVAC in poultry house has full monitoring over environmental factors like temperature, humidity, air velocity, levels of O2, CO2, NH3, etc., results in optimum growth and productivity of birds. This facility also gives opportunity to formulate experimental diet in the form of pellets and crumbles. The LSDA station has an advanced and well equipped laboratory facility for analysis of nutrients, micro-nutrients, pesticides, toxins, etc. The LSDA facility collaborates with institutes, researchers, feed industry, pharma industry and students and pursue one platform for knowledge exchange. This facility gives opportunity to address ethical concern through lowering the scarification of birds, leads to animal welfare.
